Hi, I’m Erica Bloom, and I hate March.
That probably sounds weird, but let me explain. Most of the year, my small hometown, Otter Lake, New Hampshire, is postcard-perfect. There are sparkling lakes in the summer, rich colorful trees in the fall, and fluffy snow in the winter. But in early spring? Well, there’s mud. Lots and lots of cold mud. Nope, there’s nothing really fun about this time of year, other than maybe snuggling under a blanket with a hot, hot sheriff waiting for better weather to come.
Yeah, that might be nice.
Too bad mine dumped me.
That’s why I’ve spent the last twenty plus hours on planes, trains, and automobiles battling March-breakers and dodging a superstorm to get home to Otter Lake. I need to convince my ex that I am serious about our relationship, and that I am really, truly, for-reals considering moving home. The timing’s perfect. My mother is away downward-dogging in the Grand Canyon, and her island retreat is closed for the season. That means we can have the place to ourselves to reconnect without the entire town watching our every move. Nope, nothing’s going wrong this trip. No family butting in at the wrong times. No friends making judgments about our relationship. No interruptions.
Oh, and absolutely no turning up dead bodies. Yeah, I know, that sounds weird too, but they don’t call me Erica Doom for nothing.
You can read more about Erica in SNOWED IN WITH MURDER, the third book in the Otter Lake mystery series.
There’s no retreat and no surrender when Erica Bloom finds herself stuck in a snow storm with a stone-cold killer. . .
Erica has returned to Otter Lake, New Hampshire, to rekindle romance with Sheriff Grady Forrester at her mom’s island retreat, currently closed for the off season. Just ahead of a rapidly advancing storm front, Erica arrives to discover Mom has rented the lodge to a reality TV show. They’re filming the wealthy but awful Boatright brood, who’ve been summoned here by their patriarch because—so he says—one of them wants to kill him.
SNOWED IN WITH MURDER
Great television, terrible timing. Not only are Erica’s romantic hopes snuffed out like a candle flame, the nasty Nor’easter just became a superstorm…and no one is getting off the island ’til it blows over. When the power fails, it’s lights out for the patriarch. Now, marooned with a murdered millionaire and his feuding family, it’s up to Erica to take the killer by storm and get back to the business of reuniting with Grady—until death do they part!

About the author
Auralee Wallace has played many roles in her life, including college professor, balloon seller, and collections agent. When this semi-natural blonde mother of three children (and psychiatric nurse to two rescue cats) isn’t writing humorous novels about quirky characters, she can often be found pontificating about the Golden Age of soap operas or warring with a family of peregrine falcons for the rights to her backyard. She can also be found on Twitter, Goodreads, Facebook, and her blog at auraleewallace.com.

I really enjoyed the first two books in the series. “Snowed in with Murder” sounds like a great read since we had a record snowstorm here in Ottawa, Ontario yesterday (28 cm or 11 “), with more to come!

Thank goodness for kind neighbours! I did not know you lived in Ottawa…cool! It’s only supposed to be another 10-15 cm (4-6″) of snow. We can handle that, right, Auralee?

I remember growing up in New England, in Vermont, and building snow forts for snow ball fights and igloos with blocks of snow. Yes,
we snowed in several times. I’d like to read what Aurella Wallace has for us in this book.
