  2. I only read printed books. It just would not seem without having that book in my hand!

I read books but prefer printed books. There’s something about physically holding the book and turning the pages.

    I want paper…unless it’s 10:30 at night and I need a book now.

  9. I love printed books at home but when I travel having an ereader is more convinient – more books, less space used – and when I am driving long distances audio books on CDs make driving more fun and less tiring. So I guess I am a fan of all forms. 🙂

  10. I read both but really prefer print books.I haven’t done the audio and since I don’t travel in the car much I probably won’t unless I run into vision problems.

  11. I really enjoy holding a book in my hand. I also use an ereader sometime. Books came in handy when I had no power for a week. It is easy to share a book with a friend also.

  12. I like the ease of buying e-books & having them immediately available to read but I love the look, feel & smell of books, especially if they are older books & are illustrated. I don’t enjoy illustrations as much on the e-reader as I do in a hardback or paperback.

  14. Although I have an e-book reader, I love the feel of a book in my hands. The cost factor balances out for either so the savings for a print book or e-book doesn’t matter.

  15. I have many free ebooks on my PC, that said I do not get to read them as I spend so much time here that when I read I want a print book.

  19. I read both although I would have to say that I’m still partial to “real” (print) books. But, when traveling, you sure can’t beat the convenience of an e-reader.

  20. I prefer print books. I am reading my first e-book right now because I couldn’t get the paperback edition. It’s okay…..I like that I can read in the bed at night. But I prefer the feel of a real book.

I was unsure how to answer as well as some of your other commenters, but since it said PREFER I chose print books. I do also read e-books, especially when I am away or can only access the book that way. I also listen to audio books in the car and when cleaning house. It is ice to have options, but it will always love the feel, smell, weight, etc. . . of a printed book!

  22. I picked ‘both’ because though I prefer print books I actually buy more e-books… then if I really love an e-book I may get the print version as well (like I have copies of Louise Penny, Laurie King etc in both formats)

I would have said both ebooks & printed but with all the vision issues, it’s just easier on my eyes to read ebooks so I can adjust the font size.

Both work for various situations, and my husband and I also love our audio books for when we are driving anywhere, even just to Lowes!!!!!
